Seagry Diamour
EXCEPTIONAL mare Seagry Diamour (Didi) 06/06/11 is a lovely bright bay mare by San Amour out of My Delight (Dimaggio). She is 16.3 hh. Didi was sold and competed for a few years at Novice level. She competed 24 times, came 1st 19 times, 2nd twice and 3rd once. Didi is the maternal half-sister to Seagry Donnadiva, the 2022 Advanced Medium Silver Champion. She was a very successful horse until through minor soft tissue injury in her side and family circumstances she returned to Seagry Stud to enter the breeding program. In 2020 she carried, foaled and weaned a foal by Secret. This was an embryo transfer. She held the embryo first time, foaled easily and was a super mother. She did the foal very well and was easy to wean. In 2020 we did not put any mares back in foal due to the pandemic. She found a new home with Cara Hayward who bred a lovely foal from her in 2022. Now circumstances have changed again so Didi is looking for a new home. She is extremely happy and very healthy. She could well be brought back into work or used again in breeding. Didi is vice free and easy to do in all respects, she even loves having her head showered. Diamour was awarded a BEF Futurity Higher First Premium and also the coveted Oldenburg Foal Premium. She has an excellent frame, wonderful expressive paces and stunning good looks. 'Didi' has a fantastic topline and excellent conformation. She is a Pink Papered Oldenburg registered. Visit the 'Mares' and 'Bloodlines' pages on this web site for more details of her dam (My Delight). Diamour went to Catherston for the BEF Futurity grading in 2011 and was awarded a score of 8.68 which was a 'Higher First Premium'. This reflects the outstanding quality of horse she is. My Delight is one of our foundation mares by Dimaggio. She is a magnificent 16.3 hh grey mare with huge paces and a superb temperament. She comes from a successful mare line. Her sister My Day was competed by Dan Sherrif upto AM and then Paul Hayler upto FEI Small Tour Inter I.
San Amour, by Sandro Hit, is a magnificent modern stallion producing some of the best dressage prospects. He is a truly 'modern' type and is regarded by Paul Schockemohle as "...the best Sandro Hit offspring I have seen..."
Didi has carried one foal, an embryo transfer which she held first time and one foal of her own in 2022. She cycles well and regularly. She is very professional as a broodmare, foaled very easily and was a wonderful attentive mother. She weanes easily and is a wonderful broodmare.
