San Amour

My Delight has been put to San Amour for the 2010/11 breeding season.

San Amour is a truly exceptional horse. He was the most sought after stallion at his licensing, selling at auction for €450,000. Notably he scored 9.5 for rideability and an overall dressage index of 137.74. With an amazing elastic trot and stunning uphill canter he is rapidly becoming regarded as the next Dressage Breeding Stallion Super Star. He has undoubtedly inherited the super qualities of his sire Sandro Hit blended with one of the very best dam lines (Pupenfee) who carries Plaisir D’Amour, Pik Bube and Figaro blood. Pupenfee also produced San Amour's full sister Auguste Victoria, who won the 2008 Oldenburg Regional Championships. Plaisir d'Amour himself competed in international Grand Prix classes and the 1998 World Championship. Figaro is considered to be a brilliant producer of excellent performance horses for both dressage and show jumping.

San Amour is consistently producing stunning foals which achieve record sums at auction. For example at the August 2010 Hanoverian foal auction, a total of 7 lots were offered by San Amour, fetching an average price of €12,900/foal, Including the second top priced lot of the auction fetching €41,000.

He has been for some time one of my favorite stallions. We judge that the ultramodern presence, breath-taking athletic qualities and rideability of San Amour will compliment the power, expressive gait and temperament of our own mare, My Delight.
